Health & Safety for Boards of Directors
Directors face greater risk and carry new responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
Since 4 April 2016, directors have new duties and can be personally liable for breaches of these duties. The potential penalties could include not only significant fines, but also imprisonment of up to five years.
Officers (e.g. directors, board members, chief executives) have a new focus to exercise due diligence over their business. They need to ensure the business is resourced to be able to meet its responsibilities to keep everyone healthy and safe.
Salus offers a complimentary Board of Directors Health and Safety Checklist which you can download below - no strings attached. For personal, expert advice, please contact us today.
We have retained Salus to provide ongoing support to ensure we maintain the gains already achieved and continue to improve. Salus will also provide an annual audit report to the Board.
